A whole year has passed since Ariel Sharon announced his "Disengagement Plan."

For a whole year, the world has been excited by this plan.  President Bush and the world's governments have given it their enthusiastic blessing, the Israeli government coalition has broken apart because of it, the Labor Party is using it as a pretext for crawling into the government, Leftists have offered Sharon an "iron bridge" for its implementation.

But throughout the whole year, Sharon has not withdrawn from one single square meter nor evacuated one single settler.  Nothing—but absolutely nothing!—has happened, except the loss of hundreds more lives, Israeli and Palestinian, and the further enlargement of settlements.

Again and again we have to warn: Don't listen to what comes out of Sharon's mouth, pay attention to what Sharon's hands are doing—and not doing!
